NZ Day 4: The Blue pools

Moving along further down from Haast, we came across plenty of water falls, small streams, vast fields full of wild flowers and plenty of lush rain forests with roadsides lined by ferns. Along this route we saw sign to the ‘Blue Pools’ in the Mount Aspiring National Park region.
A short walk off from the parking- about 15 minutes each way- passing through a small wooden suspension bridge takes you to this small place where two rivers meet and form a small pool of water. The water that comes down from the glaciers is so clean, the pool looks clear blue, and standing from the top of the pools from the vantage point, you can see the bottom of the lake right through. It said there are the brown trouts swimming in these waters in appropriate season, but we didn’t see any. All we saw was just clear water in a beautiful place.
