NZ Day 6: Queenstown

Queenstown. This is the beautiful town by the lakeside nestled amongst mountains and glacial rivers rushing into the lakes from all directions. Serene and beautiful, and at the same time bubbling with tourists from across the world and lots of enthusiasm about adventure sports that’s in abundance here. Be it sky-diving, bungee jumping, white water rafting, paragliding and then different combinations and permutations of these activities being turned into mixed events.

No, I’m not going to do anything of that sort. I have to drive my camper van all the way back to Christchurch and so I can’t afford as much as a sprained ankle on this trip. (That or the fact that I am a bit scared of these positions where my life is at the mercy of someone who is more an adrenal junkie than a technical specialist tying ropes around me and hurling me to earth from different heights at great speeds- I am more important than this stuff. I am!)

The place was blooming with flowers and bright colours everywhere
