NZ Day 8: Cromwell: The flowers and fruits town

The journey has reached it’s apex and now its time to start the move back. We commence return from Queenstown towards Christchurch and there’s another night to spend on the way.
Now we are on the other side of the Southern Alps and the scenery is significantly different as compared to the west coast. West coast is dense, rich, rain forests and curvy hills, while this area has vast planes with never-ending panoramic vistas and grasslands with mountain ranges at the horizon. The thing that’s unchanged is the rivers, streams, flowers and the never-ending blessings of the nature goddess!
Not a long drive from Queenstown and we reach this little town of Cromwell. This town is like a fruit-bowl of the area. The cold plains with enough water but draught in the air provide perfect weather for stone fruits like cherries, peaches, apricots, nectarines etc. We stopped by a farm-shop and wandered around in their Rose-gardens and the nearby grazing fields
